I got a lash lift and it is amazing!

I am beautiful and I love my face, sure I do not want to make any changes to it but for my tiny eyelashes, well I have struggled all my life to hide the fact that I have tiny eyelashes and by all means, try to make it look as big as possible with the help of mascara and sometimes even falsies.

Sadly, all these methods are temporary. However, recently my friend told me about kind of a more permanent solution in the form of lash lift and sure I was not convinced at first. I was afraid that it will further damage my already tiny eyelashes, but I was amazed when I saw the transformation of my friends. Trust me, my world turned upside down! She looked gorgeous and then is when I decided to take the leap of fate and get over my biggest fear.

I decided to go for Dolly lash lift, as my friend suggested. However, I was very nervous and got Goosebumps on the day of my appointment. I had so many questions in my mind. Will it be painful? Will it have side-effects? Will it harm my natural lashes? To find out how it went? Keep reading!

Prep!

I was instructed to come with a clean face without any trace of eye-makeup. Also, I could not wet my lashes for the next 24 hours. So, I used my best makeup remover and a mild cleanser to remove any perk of dust from my face.

The procedure

When reached the clinic, I was guided to a well-lit room where I was asked to lie down on a table that looked like a spa massage table. Then the lash lift technician got the lash lift kit and started the procedure. Then she applied silicon pads on my lower lashes, so least they get tangled in perming solution.

The sloped shape of it serves to give your lashes a curved shape to form to when slathered in perming lotion. The length of your lashes is what determines what size silicone shield the technician will choose for you. Since my lashes are on the short side, I used a small one.

My lashes were brushed back to lay against the curve of the shield with that gentle adhesive so they all lay flat, awaiting the curling chemicals. The entire process took about 45 minutes.

Conclusion time

After the full 45 minutes of hand and liquids lingering over my closed eyes, it was finally judgment time! When I looked at myself in the mirror, I could not believe it and said only one word “Amazing”! My tiny eyelashes were standing up with pride and my eyes looked more wide and beautiful.

I was happy as despite short lashes, all it took was a curl’s trajectory with a slight dye-job for them to look like doll lashes.
